Feature Friday: Blunt Delivery
Friday, May 22, 2009

The BlogRollers are all about promoting the power of female bloggers and so much of that starts with you. We’ve created our BlogRoll so that we could show you a little linky love and so that others can find you, too. Due to the overwhelming response we’ve received about the BlogRoll we’ve decided that choosing one blog (via Random.org) to feature every two weeks is not enough so we will be featuring one of you lovely rollers every week. We believe in promoting and supporting one another and there’s no better way to do that than by shining the spotlight on as many fabulous blogs as possible.
So, without further ado, this week’s Feature Friday blog is Blunt Delivery. Once you’ve read her feature, make sure to go show her some love!

Blog: Blunt Delivery
How long you’ve been blogging?
One year.
Tell us the 30 second skinny about your blog.
I have always been known to tell it like it is, and Blunt Delivery is a place where honesty flows like boxed wine. It's also where I chronicle everything from my European travels, to my ridiculous ex-boyfriends, to dialogues with my crazy Italian family, to my commitment issues and life as a single, childless twenty-something.
What inspired you to start blogging?
Everyone tells me I have the craziest life they've ever heard of, so I figured, maybe I should use my mistakes and turn them into comic relief for the rest of the world, eh?
How has blogging changed your life?
Well, it has gotten me back into writing. I've always loved it, and now I've turned freelancing into my career. Blogging holds you accountable in a way, because you can't just post one blog a month or no one will ever read it. You've got to keep up with it... and that forces you to keep creative.
What do you wish someone would’ve hipped you to when you started your blog?
Don't try to write in a "niche" or something that you just think will bring you a lot of traffic. You'll get sick of that really quick. The point is to enjoy blogging, possibly to network, and to give yourself some therapy. If you get traffic along the way, good... but at least you're enjoying yourself. And there's nothing wrong with writing about your life. Besides, people like hearing about others' lives - it's something we can all relate to. Why do you think reality TV has taken over the world?
Give us the dirt; what’s one thing about you your readers don’t know?
They probably don't know that deep down, somewhere, I'm actually nice. haha.
Spread the love; name three blogs in your reader.

PS>I wish someone told me that about blogging too!
What a great blog! I LOVE reading blogs from moms but it's so great to find fun, good-quality one-day wife and mom blogs too!
I now know how it feels to look back and say "I remember those days." haha, although... My life hasn't been as exciting as hers, :)
I am a big fan of Blunt Delivery. Been reading her site for quite a while.
Would love to be one of your featured bloggers one of these days. I have stopped by before from SITS.
