What would you do to roll with us to BlogHer ’09?
The BlogRollers and our special guest roller, the fabulous Denene Millner from My Brown Baby, are packing our bags and planning the best BlogHer or Bust Road Trip imaginable; and the good folks at General Motors are providing a brand new Chevrolet for us to drive via their BlogHer ’09 Carpool. We decided that the trip wouldn’t be complete without a fourth roller so we dreamed, schemed, and plotted and are our pleased to announce The Fourth Wheel Contest.
The Fourth Wheel Contest
For the fifth consecutive year the highly anticipated BlogHer conference is sold out! But, don’t despair The BlogRollers have one extra registration for Saturday, July 25, 2009. We will choose one lucky winner to hop in the Chevy, roll with us to Chicago, and we will provide hotel accommodations during the trip, too. The contest is open to bloggers who are 18 and older and live in the continental United States.
We can pick you up if you are within ALL these boundaries:
NORTH OF - Atlanta GA
SOUTH OF - Chicago IL, Cleveland OH
EAST OF - Huntsville AL, Nashville TN, Indianapolis IN
WEST OF - Greensboro NC, Roanoke VA, Pittsburgh PA
(some adjustments to these may be taking into consideration based on winner's actual location)
Even if you do not live within these boundaries, you can still enter the contest however you will have to either meet us in Atlanta, Chicago or on one of our city stops (to be determined) along the way.
Here’s how YOU can roll with us
It’s simple. Make a video, 3 minutes or less, and upload it to our YouTube Group: The BlogRollers BlogHer 09 4th Wheel Contest before 11:59 PM EST on May 24th. Be as creative as you can, but make sure to cover the ALL of following points:
- Who you are
- Describe your blog
- What blogging means to you
- Why you want to go to BlogHer ’09
- Why we should choose you to roll with The BlogRollers
Easy, right? There’s just a few more little things to make sure you’re qualified to enter:
- You must follow The BlogRollers and/or subscribe to our blog via RSS feed or e-mail
- You should also follow the SITS Girls
- Do a post on your blog about the contest and your entry – you can also show your video there, too. Please provide a link to that post in the comments
- Leave us a comment here on this post letting us know you have fulfilled these requirements.

Choosing The Fourth Wheel
In addition to The BlogRollers and Denene, we’ve enlisted the help of some of the blogosphere’s shining stars to help us choose the lucky winner. The lovely ladies from 3 Bay B Chicks, the incredibly funny Stesha Sims from Hot Chocolate Carmel Mocha, the super talented Jennifer James from Moms Blogger Club and the ever so popular Jyl Johnson Pattee from Mom It Forward. Speaking of Mom It Forward, we will be special guests at #GNO tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th so make sure to RSVP now. We appreciate their time and consideration; and hope that you will go show them lots of love (and uh, no, they are not accepting bribes).
